2016 Blue Book Changes

The Blue Book (July 2016) was revised to reflect decisions made by the National Board of Directors at the January 21, 2016 meeting. Red strike-out text means text was removed while green text indicates changes/additions.

1.  Amended Policies/MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION/SECURITY OF MEMBERSHIP DATA/MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION:

All girls and adults participating in the Girl Scout Movement shall be registered as members with Girl Scouts of the United States of America and individually pay the $15* annual, or other applicable membership dues, except those adults who are lifetime members or who are working in a temporary advisory or consultative capacity.

2.  Removed footnote from Policies/MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION/SECURITY OF MEMBERSHIP DATA/MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION:

* By action taken by the National Board of Directors on January 20, 2012, Girl Scout annual membership dues are raised to $15, effective with the 2014 membership year, beginning October 1, 2013.

3.  Amended footnote in Credentials/MEMBERSHIP DUES AND PROCEDURES FOR REGISTRATION:

* By action taken by the National Board of Directors on January 20, 2012 January 21, 2016, Girl Scout annual membership dues are raised to $15 $25, effective with the 2014 2018 membership year, beginning October 1, 2013 2017.
