Board Development Committee

In a council, a Board Development Committee (BDC) typically provides education and training to board members to ensure that a board of directors stays healthy. It also typically develops a set of candidates for future board members and National Delegates and creates a single slate that will be presented for election. However, a BDC’s duties should be spelled out in a council’s bylaws, so refer to them to find out more information.
