Board committees

Board committees are established by the council board of directors, as authorized in the council bylaws, to assist it in carrying out its many ongoing responsibilities. These committees are comprised of board members and non-board members who are appointed by the president and approved by the board of directors. Each board committee may be involved in the gathering of internal and external data in preparation for corporate goal formation. Staff with appropriate expertise and experience are assigned by the executive director to provide support to board committees.
