STATEMENT OF TOPIC, QUESTION, OR ISSUE
Girl Scouting has unique and valuable resources, including events, outdoor properties and programs, plus committed volunteer Members at all levels who are ready to help the girls of Girl Scouting.
How can these unique Girl Scout resources be leveraged to grow our Movement and also grow results for girls?
Can sharing and maximizing all of our resources help more girls attend council events and programs, use our properties, and grow membership?
REASONS:
1. How will talking about this at the National Council Session guide the National
Board?
Opening up this Discussion will increase Member engagement and allow more voices to inform the National Board’s strategies.
Joining together to discuss maximizing our Girl Scout resources will also provide useful and powerful ideas for the National Board, and help our Movement grow.
This Discussion Proposal may be added to or changed and re-submitted to the GSUSA Board by the end of June deadline of June 30th, 2022. It probably will NOT be on the Agenda unless it is changed in some way. (Per GSUSA). Perhaps another council can take this in hand and improve it? 🙂
Of course, changes to this (= a new Proposal using this as a basis), will require your Board and CEO approval first. So… hopefully your Board will meet before the June 30th deadline. Good luck! I hope another Council will take this up.
